During my work placement I became more confident in completing treatments in the salon. I have now found a full time role within the beauty industry and can’t wait to get started!

Level 3 Beauty Therapy

Meet your lecturer
Chloe Paxton,
Deputy Head of Department,

I started my NVQ Level 2 In Beauty Therapy at Trowbridge College in 2005, and went on to study my NVQ Level 3 In Beauty Therapy in 2006. That year I started working as a full-time Therapist at the Aqua Sana at Center Parcs. Whilst working here I was trained in Elemis, Decleor, Leighton Denny Nails and Center Parcs bespoke treatments. At the end of 2013 I started my first teaching role at the Chippenham Campus as an agency staff member, teaching on the Level 3 Beauty Therapy programme. From 2015 I have taught on various qualifications ranging from Pre 16s to Level 3 Beauty Therapy and Media Make up, and I'm currently teaching the Level 3 Beauty Therapy programme. Most recently, I was appointed as Deputy Head of Department for Hair and Beauty at Trowbridge. I still teach and I love it.

Laura Lawrence,
Lecturer,

After finishing my NVQ Level 3 In Beauty Therapy, I got a job in a local Beauty Salon and became the Salon Manager. In 2010 I went self employed and 2013 was the year I opened my own business. Alongside running my salon, I started teaching in Chippenham and Trowbridge on the Media Make up programme. After having a baby in 2018, I felt like I needed a challenge. I pursued my teaching dream by going full time to teach Media Make Up and Beauty Therapy.

Rhea Bradley,
Lecturer,

I have taught all ages across Hairdressing, Beauty Therapy and Media Makeup programmes from level 1-3 for many years. I find teaching very rewarding, sharing my knowledge and experience and seeing learners gain success at the end of their program and move into employment within industry. In 2019 I started working for Wiltshire College & University Centre as a Beauty Therapy Lecturer based at the Salisbury campus. I am passionate about both teaching and the Beauty Industry, and I am thoroughly enjoying this new challenge.

Keileigh Thomas,
Lecturer,

I started my Beauty Therapy NVQ Level 2 at Wiltshire College, straight after finishing my GCSEs. After completing my Level 2 Beauty Therapy I began a Level 3 Beauty Therapy course. Once I had finished three years of studying Beauty Therapy, I started to work Part Time in a Dermalogica Beauty Salon as a Beauty Therapist and studied for an NVQ Level 2 in Hairdressing. After qualifying in both fields I tried to gain as much experience as possible, working within different salons with different product ranges and gaining product and treatment training whilst doing so. I have been working for Wiltshire College & University Centre teaching full-time since 2016. I have taught on Level 1 Hair and Beauty; Level 2 Beauty Therapy and Media Make Up, and Level 3 Beauty Therapy.
