The Level 3 Advanced Technical Diploma in Beauty & Spa Therapy is for those who hold a true passion for Beauty Therapy and want to develop their skills in advanced treatments such as non-surgical face lifts & muscle toning treatments. The course aims to provide you with a range of specialist practical skills and technical knowledge, which will equip you to seek employment or further training within the Beauty & Spa Therapy Industry.
What will I learn?
This qualification covers a very wide range of practical skills and knowledge required for working in the beauty and spa therapy industry.
These are compulsory areas:
• Promote and sell products and services to clients
• Provide body massage
• Provide facial electrotherapy treatments
• Provide body electrotherapy treatments
• Anatomy & Physiology
• Provide dry spa treatments
Additional areas include:
• Provide electrical epilation
• Provide Indian head massage
• Tanning treatments
• Apply individual semi-permanent lash treatments
• Research advancements within the beauty industry
• Monitor and maintain the client’s spa journey
• Provide body stone therapy treatments
To enrol on this course, you must have successfully completed a Level 2 Certificate in Beauty Therapy or equivalent industry experience is a recommended entry requirement.
Work experience in the Beauty industry is essential for Level 3.
Your application will need to be supported by a reference from your tutor, good record of attendance and an interview.
Study, Assessment and Qualifications
To gain this qualification, candidates must successfully achieve the following assessments:
One externally set, externally moderated practical assignment.
One externally set, externally marked theory exam.
6 hours of home study is required per week.
60 hours of work experience
You will be assessed working on clients in the Aspire Academy of Hair & Beauty salons throughout the duration of the course.
Final qualification: Level 3 Advanced Technical Diploma in Beauty and Spa Therapy.
You could progress into employment or on to a Level 4 qualification in Advanced Techniques or Management, such as: Level 4 Diploma in Advanced Beauty Therapy.
Additional Costs and Information
A kit and uniform will be required (discussed at interview).
In cases of financial hardship funds may be available to help with the cost of this.
We also arrange educational activities and competitions as part of the course which may incur an additional cost.
