Engineering and Manufacturing

View our range of courses

Highly qualified engineers will always be in demand. Our courses in engineering and manufacturing are taught in industry-standard facilities by experienced lecturers, giving you a solid foundation of skills and experience to start your career.

We offer a wide variety of courses and specialist apprenticeships in engineering and manufacturing.

The department's facilities at our Chippenham campus will enable you to learn using a wide range of industry equipment. A large, dedicated workshop located on the ground floor houses a range of equipment including mills and lathes. In our engineering labs you'll build experience with CAD equipment and software, programmable logic controllers, pneumatic and hydraulic rigs and a range of electronic, robotic and mechatronic facilities. As a College we are proud of our strong links with industry partners such as DSTL, Babcock, Knorr Bremse, REME and the MOD. These connections allow us to provide you with more than just academic experience: you’ll be exposed to varied working environments and develop a real understanding of the standards and practices in industry-leading companies, both locally and globally.

What our students say

I love being in the workplace and being able to apply the theoretical skills I’ve learned in College. I’m delighted to have now been offered a job with Spectra.
