Creative Art students from Wiltshire College & University Centre are set to receive a community grant from a Chippenham based charity.

The £1,894 boost from Chippenham Borough Lands Charity (CBLC), will enable the Creative department to purchase LED lightning which can be programmed for interactive performances and used for art, media and music installations.

Music lecturer Vince Selby was delighted to be successful in his bid after applying for the grant.

He said: “This funding will make a huge difference to the progression of a wide range of learners at the College and present a very modern approach to performance.

“It is very exciting news!”

Lauren Graham-May is the Education and Arts Officer at CBLC. She said: We’re delighted to support the College to help deliver community focused and technologically advanced arts events.

“Creative careers need supporting now more than ever and we’re really looking forward to hearing and seeing from these students in the near future.”

CBLC supports both individuals and organisations including educational projects to enhance student learning and development.
