Explore your education and training choices
Whether you know where you're heading or not, knowing about the different routes open to you is a great place to start

Taking your next step in life can be daunting. If you're finishing school, we hope this page can help take the stress out of making your next move.

Below is a breakdown of the training and education choices that are available for you here at Wiltshire College & University Centre, all in one place.

Learn more about T Levels, which mix classroom and on-the-job training so you can get a feel of a workplace. Or an Apprenticeship, where you can earn and learn at the same time. Or there are Vocational Technical Qualifications, that teach all the new skills that employers are looking for.

If you still haven't decided whether you want to study with us, the National Careers Service website has information on your options outside of the College too, so you’ll be clued up on everything you need to know to take your next step.

Explore your choices
Apprenticeships

Work alongside experienced staff to learn while you earn a wage.

Age: 16 and over
Cost: free
Leads to: higher education, another apprenticeship or another job
Might be for you if: you want to have a real job while you gain a qualification

T Levels

Get a mix of learning in the classroom and on the job.

Age: 16 to 19
Cost: free
Leads to: higher education, an apprenticeship or getting a job
Might be for you if: you'd like to know what a career is like while you continue your studies

Vocational Qualifications

Gain skills and experience in a specific job or sector, such as childcare or engineering.

Age: 16 and over
Cost: free
Leads to: further study, volunteering or getting a job
Might be for you if: you'd really like to work in a particular job or industry
