The Level 2 Travel and Tourism programme is intended to provide you with an introduction to the travel and tourism industry. Part of the course will include trips to various travel and tourism facilities, and assignments will be set relating to these visits. Our goal is to prepare you to progress onto the Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Travel and Tourism and be ready for employment.
What will I learn?
The course contains a number of different units that will be studied and assessed. These include The UK Travel and Tourism Sector, Factors Affecting Worldwide Travel and Tourism, Travel and Tourism Destinations and Travel and Tourism Employment, just to name a few.
4 GCSEs at grade 3/D or above, including math and English
Study, Assessment and Qualifications
The course is assessed through a variety of mediums, from assignments, role play, presentations and exams.
The final qualification will be a BTEC Level 1 / 2 Extended Certificate in Travel and Tourism.
A work placement is an essential part of all courses at the College.
