Are you aged 19 without GCSE’s and want to study at university? If so, our Pre-Access to Higher Education course can help you achieve your educational goals and pave the way for higher education opportunities. By successfully completing this Pre-Access to HE course, you will gain the academic foundation required to progress to the Access to HE course. Throughout the program, you will be guided by experienced and dedicated tutors who will support your learning journey. They will employ various teaching methodologies, including lectures, interactive discussions, practical exercises, and assessments, to ensure a well-rounded and engaging learning experience. The Pre-Access to HE course covers a broad range of subjects, allowing you to explore different disciplines and discover your areas of interest. You will have the opportunity to enhance your critical thinking, research, and analytical skills, which are vital for success in higher education.

What will I learn?

This one-year level 2 course is designed to prepare for study at level 3 on out Access to HE course. You will study the following: study skills, English, maths, and science.

Study, Assessment and Qualifications

You will be assessed through a variety of methods to properly prepare you for university.

A good general reading and writing ability.

Additional Costs and Information

The Pre-Access to HE course is completely free of charge.

During the course you will develop your knowledge in your chosen subject area while also improving your study skills such as research and essay writing, preparing you for the requirements of study at a higher level. You’ll be well supported throughout the course by a personal tutor and through regular 1:1 tutorial’s. You need to be able to be able to commit to at least 15 hours of study per week.
