Course Overview

Completion of this 1-day course enables you to meet the legislative requirements for working with a tractor mounted boom sprayer to distribute pesticides.Please contact or 0845 345 2235 with any questions or if you are an employer enrolling one or more employees onto this course.

What will I learn?

The following topics will be covered:

Machine preparation, calibration
Pesticide handling
Pesticide application
Disposal of contaminated waste
Health, safety and legal requirements

Study, Assessment and Qualifications

Assessment will be a combination of observation of practical skills, and a questions and answers session to determine your level of knowledge and understanding of the module.

Assessment will be on a separate day at a designated time. Dependent on assessor availability, we aim to carry out the assessment within 7 days of the training.

Entry Requirements

It is a condition of attending this course that you have previously achieved the Foundation Module, covering the health, safety and legal elements within NPTC Pesticide Application (PA1) and have experience of driving a tractor.

Additional Costs and Information

The cost of the course includes course materials and assessment fees. VAT is not applicable.

The purpose of the NPTC assessment is to prove occupational competence; further charges apply if re-assessment is required.
