Course Overview


If you’re interested in, marketing and promotions, building successful teams, finance, business on-line or even setting up your own business, this is the course for you! This course will give you a great introduction to how modern businesses operate, so you can start on your journey to develop the skills required for a wide variety of business opportunities.

What will I learn?


We’ll get your thinking about what businesses require to be successful, how different roles operate and support businesses and the part you can play in that success!

You’ll start to gain skills that support businesses and prepare you for your own next steps. You’ll look at promoting a brand, sales and marketing, how you provide excellent business support and customer services to support your clients, including business documentation and how the use of on-line systems impact in a modern business environment.

Entry Requirements


- 4 GCSEs at grade D, or above, including English and Maths or equivalent.
- A good reference.
- A satisfactory interview.

Study, Assessment and Qualifications


BTEC Level 2 First Extended Certificate in Business.

An Industry Placement is a fundamental part of this course. An Industry Placement gives you the opportunity to gain valuable skills and experience for your future. You will be supported throughout your placement by our dedicated Work Placement Team.

Additional Costs and Information


There are no additional costs on this course however, you may have the opportunity to join in course trips to other organisations and this may involve costs for travel and entry fees.
