Course Overview

Learning a language can be a very rewarding and enjoyable experience, whether you’d like to continue studying for pleasure, travel, business, or simply to meet like-minded people.Come and join our evening class which is taught in a friendly, relaxed and adult orientated manner.This is a 10-week course, giving you the opportunity to progress even further should you wish!

What will I learn?

This course is based on conversation on different subjects. Each student will take part in the conversation, group activities (such as games and role play), short research and presentations, listening activities and bring their knowledge on the subject.

It will be focused on speaking and understanding, by holding a conversation in Italian, asking questions, and giving answers.

We will also read a Easy Reading book, watch videos and listening to songs.

This course requires a good knowledge of Italian grammar grammar and verbs, ideally for students who have already a good practice in Italian (4 years at least).

The course will include a revision and extension of grammar structures and vocabulary and moving toward a B2 of the CEFR.

Study, Assessment and Qualifications

Assessment is informal, based on your personal targets and the learning outcomes and will be undertaken regularly with you by the course tutor.

There are no final qualifications associated with this course.

Entry Requirements

This course is suitable for adult learners who have completed the Italian – Year 5 part 2 course at Wiltshire College or a similar level course.

This is also suitable for those who have previous knowledge of the language and who feel they can cope at a level with the topics and grammar itemised.

Additional Costs and Information

You will be asked to buy a course book and an Easy Reader book, this will be discussed in your first session. Please also bring an A4 folder, paper and pens.

To get maximum benefit from the course, students should expect to do up to an hour at home each week to reinforce the work covered in class. Your tutor will advise you on what work to do at home.
