Learning a language can be a very rewarding and enjoyable experience, whether you'd like to continue studying for pleasure, travel, business, or simply to meet like-minded people.Come and join our evening class which is taught in a friendly, relaxed and adult orientated manner..

What will I learn?

This course will be centered around conversations on various subjects and will give students the opportunity to use and extend their knowledge of Italian vocabulary, grammar, tenses and Idiomatic expressions:

Students will be able to participate in discussions, engage in group activities like games and role plays, and practice their listening skills. In addition, the course will include reading of various Italian texts, watching videos, and listening to songs.

Various topics will be discussed and will cover a broad range of themes to include some of the following: Home life, Travel and holidays, Fashion, Environment, Italian culture and Traditions, Health and wellbeing, Italian cuisine, festivals, Seasonal celebrations and lots more !

The course will include a revision and extension of grammar structures and vocabulary and moving toward a B2 of the CEFR.

Study, Assessment and Qualifications

Assessment is informal, based on your personal targets and the learning outcomes and will be undertaken regularly with you by the course tutor.

There are no final qualifications associated with this course.

Entry Requirements

This course is suitable for adult learners who have a good knowledge of Italian grammar and verbs, ideally with a minimum of four years learning in the language.

Additional Costs and Information

You will be asked to buy a course book and an Easy Reader book, this will be discussed in your first session. Please also bring an A4 folder, paper and pens.

To get maximum benefit from the course, students should expect to do up to an hour at home each week to reinforce the work covered in class. Your tutor will advise you on what work to do at home.

The course will run at Chippenham campus on the following dates:
