Course Overview

Businesses need teams within them that can keep them running efficiently and profitably, as well as keep customers and other staff happy.With business and administration skills you could work in any industry, from large global firms to small, independent businesses.Administrators handle the day to day tasks in a business, playing an important support role – 97% of employers say that effective administration is essential to their business!One of the great things about business and administration is that you can work almost anywhere, and administration roles are an excellent starting point to move into management once you have more experience.

What will I learn?

Business and Adminstration apprenticeships equip you with a wide variety of skills including customer-handling, technical and practical skills, oral communication and IT skills, all of which are covered within the programme.

Task you may be involved in include: producing documents, preparing notes, typing up meeting minutes, organising and Coordinating events & meetings, developing and delivering presentations, providing reception services, using office equipment, using a variety of software packages, liaising with customers and other teams to provide good customer service and support and many more.

The task you under take will vary depending on the level and sector of employment and you can be certain that you will need strong communication and organisation skills to handle a variety of tasks.

Entry Requirements

- Minimum requirement is Entry Level 3 or GCSE grade E (2)?in Maths and English.

- All applicants will be required to pass initial assessments in Maths, English and ICT.

Study, Assessment and Qualifications

- Intermediate Apprenticeships usually take 12 months to complete.

- The Competence and Knowledge Elements will be assessed in the workplace using evidence to build a portfolio.

- Functional Skills, if required, will generally be delivered at one of our Wiltshire College campuses.

To assist you during your apprenticeship, you may be required to purchase some equipment and resources to support you during your course.
