Course Overview
This session is to inform parents, grandparents and carers of children and babies in the steps required to assess an emergency situation and prioritise the best action to take.
What will I learn?
Be able to help a baby or child who is:
- unresponsive and breathing normally
- unresponsive and not breathing normally
- having a seizure
- choking
- bleeding
- suffering from a burn or scald
This will be a practical session using manikins and equipment, including AEDs to assist learning.
Study, Assessment and Qualifications
Assessment is informal, based on your personal targets and the learning outcomes and will be undertaken regularly with you by the course tutor.
