Frequently Asked Questions

We understand that in these unprecedented times there is some uncertainty surrounding education. We are doing everything we can to support our current and future students in the challenges they face.

Below are some frequently asked questions which may help you. If you still have questions you cannot find the answer to, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

When are the campuses re-opening?

We continue to follow government guidelines for colleges and as soon as we have an update we will write to all students as well as post updates on our website and social media pages.

What happens if the College isn’t able to be open in September?

When the campus closures were announced, the entire college offer moved online and we continue to offer teaching and learning virtually. Should the campuses not open in September, we will continue to offer online learning and we will ensure we communicate with you fully on this, and the logistics involved. Our priority is that no one is disadvantaged, and we will work closely with you to maximise your learning experience here at the College.

What has happened to my application?

Applications have been unaffected by the campus closures.

Our Admissions team are processing applications as normal, and we urge anyone unsure about applying for September to get their application in via our website. If you have already applied, your application is safe, and while we have already written to you, we will continue to communicate with you right up to your start date, and beyond.

I've applied - what will happen if I can’t share my grades?

We will check them at the start of your course.

Will I still be doing practicals as part of my course?

Our lecturing staff have adapted superbly to the changes brought about by the campus closures and teaching continues. New, innovative methods have been employed to encourage practical activities in the home wherever possible.

How will the College operate with social distancing?

As we continue to operate in accordance with government guidelines, we await guidance on how the college will function when campuses re-open. Rest assured, we will act accordingly and enforce any restrictions around social distancing in compliance with national guidelines.

What is happening with student transport?

While we await news on when our campuses reopen, we will continue to collate contact details of all those students who wish to utilise our student transport and will communicate to them as soon as we understand how this will operate when we reopen.

What is happening with accommodation?

While we await news on when our campuses can partially or fully reopen, we will continue to collate contact details of all those students who wish to book into our accommodation at Lackham and Salisbury and will communicate to them regularly regarding the opportunity to live on campus and any associated social distancing measures.

What has happened to the campus development projects at Salisbury and Lackham?

Our Lackham and Salisbury campuses are undergoing £22million worth of investment, due for completion in September 2021. Due to government guidelines around social distancing, the developers on both campuses have had to reduce their workforce. This could delay elements of these projects, and as a result the previously anticipated opening dates may need to be pushed back. We continue to monitor the progress and will communicate updates for all projects as soon as we are able.
