Wiltshire College & University Centre will host its annual Graduation ceremony for Higher Education students at Salisbury Cathedral

Wiltshire College & University Centre will celebrate the achievements of its Higher Education students at a Graduation ceremony in October.

Students who finished university-level courses at the College this summer will be honoured at Salisbury Cathedral on Friday, 21st October. In total, the achievements of around 250 students will be marked on the day.

The College offers a wide variety of Higher Education courses across its campuses around the county, including a number validated by Bournemouth University and Oxford Brooks University.

Representatives from each of the awarding universities and bodies will be present to honour their respective graduands and Councillor Richard Clewer, leader of Wiltshire Council, will be the guest speaker.

Wiltshire College & University Centre Principal and CEO Iain Hatt said: “Every year Wiltshire College & University Centre’s Graduation Ceremony celebrates the success of our Higher Education students. It is a memorable occasion for our graduates, their families and friends, and all the staff who have contributed to their success.

“The achievements being celebrated at Graduation are an important milestone in a young person’s journey as the progress from education into the world of work and the students who we will celebrate on the day can feel justifiably proud of their achievements.

“Congratulations to all of the students who completed university-level courses with us this year. We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at Graduation to celebrate with you.”

The day will involve the College’s traditional Graduation activities, including the procession through the city to Salisbury Cathedral ahead of the ceremony and the opportunity to celebrate with family and friends in the picturesque grounds outside the cathedral afterwards.

More information about the day’s itinerary will be sent direct to graduands in advance.

The College is grateful to everyone at Salisbury Cathedral and Salisbury Playhouse, without whose support the ceremony would not be able to take place.
