Basic Maths: Multiply

Free basic maths course for upskilling and increasing confidence

You will have the opportunity to develop your skills in a friendly and supportive environment to help you upskill and increase your confidence. You’ll gain knowledge by building basic numeracy maths skills that you use in everyday life situations such as banking, shopping, money, utility bills. DIY projects, cooking, gardening, driving, holidays, self-employment/business, childcare costs, maths games or travel. With the topics covered being tailored to your learning group’s needs.

How does it work?

We offer flexible learning options so you can decide what method of learning works best for you.

  • Virtual: taught by a tutor online
  • In-person: at our Salisbury, Trowbridge or Chippenham campuses, Chippenham Community Hub or Calne Library

Apply for the course and we will be in touch to discuss which option suits you.

On successful completion of this course, you will be awarded a college certificate of achievement and offered the opportunity to progress to a formal qualification, for example functional skills/GCSE maths.

Who can participate in this course?

The course is free to any Wiltshire resident aged 19+ who doesn't already have a GCSE in maths at grade C (or equivalent), or those who have a Level 2 but feel they are no longer working at this level. You will need to self declare this on applying.
