Construction industries continue to grow rapidly in our region, meaning highly-skilled workers are always in demand. Our Construction and Trades courses are developed with employment in mind to give you the skills and experience to start a career in a variety of trades.
Our Chippenham, Salisbury and Trowbridge campuses all feature a dedicated construction centre with bespoke training workshops where you will learn from our qualified staff with experience across the sector.
We offer a range of courses from introductory level through to Level 3, including apprenticeships, and our department includes Bench Joinery and Carpentry, Bricklaying, Electrical Installation, Groundworks, Painting and Decorating, and Plumbing.
No matter your area of study, you will have access to a wide variety of relevant industry-standard equipment and materials, and you will develop your skills through practical sessions covering a wide range of professional techniques. Visits from local industry leaders and trips to local businesses will also help you build your career as a skilled tradesperson.
The majority of students progress into employment either as an on-site contractor or self-employed tradesperson, or continue their studies as an apprentice.
If you haven’t applied yet, don’t worry, it’s not too late!
