Course Overview

This course, aimed at current professionals, is a four-week programme in air source heat pump maintenance that teaches you how to safely service, diagnose, and optimise modern heat pump systems using hands-on training in the Eco House environment as well as using the new Green Skills Centre at the Lackham Campus.

You will obtain the Level 3 Award in the Installation and Maintenance of Heat Pump Systems (Non-Refrigerant Circuits) This qualification is designed for qualified heating and plumbing engineers who wish to understand the requirements for design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of Air Source Heat Pump Systems (ASHPs), typically within a domestic or small-commercial setting.

– Real-world scenarios: servicing live ASHP systems.
– Integration learning: seeing how heat pumps interact with insulation, MVHR, solar PV, and smart controls.
– Troubleshooting under realistic occupancy loads.

Use of the brand new facilities of the Green Skills Centre
– specifically designed to teach modern building techniques
A good understanding of English is required. Current trained professional. Good knowledge of area. Taught at Level 3.
Additional Costs and Information:

The course will run for 4 weeks at the Lackham Campus, Mondays and Tuesdays from 12 January to 3 February, 9am – 4pm.

Must be aged 19+. You must currently reside or work in Wiltshire. You should be a qualified professional.
