Iain Hatt
Principal & Chief Executive
As Principal & CEO, Iain has executive responsibility for the strategic and operational leadership of the College. Iain has been Principal & CEO since August 2021, having previously served as Deputy Principal Curriculum & Quality. Iain joined WCUC in 2014 and has also held senior management positions at two other colleges. Iain has more than 20 years of experience in the Further Education sector, managing organisational change, driving improvement, and developing and delivering high-quality teaching, learning and assessment.
Jo Grenfell
Deputy Principal - Curriculum & Quality
Jo is Deputy Principal Curriculum & Quality. In her role, Jo is responsible for leading on the delivery of education and training across the College. Jo has worked in the Further Education sector for 20 years and her experience includes curriculum management, student services and support, business development and management information systems.
Charlotte Corfield
Vice Principal - Quality & Student Experience
Charlotte has over twenty years of experience in Further Education and has held senior leadership roles across Further and Higher Education as well as business and commercial, defence education and the not-for-profit sector. Charlotte’s experience is deeply embedded in quality, teaching and learning and the student experience. Her roles across the UK, include curriculum leadership and design, apprenticeships and welfare and support.
Steve Campion
Deputy Principal - Corporate Resources
Steve is Deputy Principal Corporate Resources. In addition to this, he is also an Adviser for the FE Commissioner Team, and an Associate for the Education and Training Foundation. Steve has previously held senior finance roles in education and commercial settings, working in two outstanding colleges prior to joining Wiltshire College and University Centre in 2022. He has worked in the education sector for over 15 years.
Chris Thompson
Executive Director - Chippenham
Chris is Executive Director of Curriculum and Chippenham campus. Chris began his career in further education as a Rugby Coach overseeing a college academy programme, before successfully transitioning to a Lecturer in Sport and teaching on a range of further and higher education programmes. Chris has held curriculum management roles in multiple colleges before progressing to his current post.
Tina Upstell
Executive Director - Salisbury
Tina is Executive Director of Curriculum and Salisbury campus. Tina joined the College in 2023 and is responsible for excellence in curriculum design and delivery. Tina has an extensive portfolio of experience in curriculum innovation, vocational and industrial partnerships, international project management and apprenticeship provision.
Ceri Baker
Executive Director - Trowbridge
Ceri is Executive Director of Curriculum and Trowbridge campus. Ceri joined the College in 2024 having previously held the post of Assistant Principal at another college. Ceri has more than 15 years’ experience in the Further Education sector, which began as a Sports Science Lecturer. Ceri has managed a number of subject sector areas and provisions, focusing on driving outcomes for learners and improvement.
Lily Raynor-Blundell
Executive Director - Lackham
Lily is Executive Director of Curriculum and Lackham campus. Lily has worked at Wiltshire College & University Centre since 2015, beginning her career as a Lecturer in Public Services and Criminology, and most recently was Head of Faculty for Engineering, Automotive and Motorsport, where she led the development and delivery of technical and vocational programmes across both further and higher education.
Dave West
Executive Director - Growth and Engagement
Dave is Executive Director of Growth and Engagement. He joined the College in 2024, having previously held a leadership role for an independent training provider, leading the marketing, customer service and employer engagement teams. Prior to this Dave has more than 15 years’ experience in media, working for some of the biggest brands including Heart and Capital FM.
