Course Overview

The construction industry is one of the largest and broadest to work in, employing around 7% of the UK’s workforce, and there is always a demand for skilled professionals. An apprenticeship in construction is a form of vocational training where you will follow an NOCN approved standard to develop skills and knowledge and then demonstrate and evidence your application in a construction environment. Bricklayers need to have a good eye for detail, as well as strong maths skills.

Your bricklaying competence will be assessed in the workplace using evidence to build a portfolio. The knowledge and practical elements are delivered at our Trowbridge and Chippenham campuses. The EPA will be at one of our own campuses and assessed by an external assessor.

If required, Functional Skills will also be delivered as part of the apprenticeship program. A mixture of on and off the job training provides a variety of learning opportunities across the whole program.
