Our campuses are served by the local public transport network and many students get to college by bus or train. This page will give you general information about travelling to our campuses; each campus also has a dedicated page with specific information about bus and other transport routes.
Travelling by bus
Our Chippenham campus is served by a number of bus routes from across the region. Whether you’re coming from nearby towns or further afield, you’ll find a connection that drops you right at or very near the campus.

The Wiltshire Council bus pass is not available for this route.

Free shuttle
We run a free Chippenham-Lackham shuttle bus service, so if you find it more convenient to travel to our Lackham campus initially, you can then access this service to make the short commute to Chippenham.
Bus passes
If you are aged 16-19 (under 19 at the start of your course), you live in Wiltshire and Chippenham is your nearest Wiltshire College & University Centre campus, you may be eligible for a Wiltshire Council bus pass. If your household income is less than £20,819.00, the price for the 2025-26 bus pass is £330.00.

If you do not qualify for the lower rate bus pass, many of the bus companies offer discounted tickets for students or regular journeys. Please check prices with the transport provider.
Travelling by train
Chippenham station is almost directly opposite our Chippenham campus.
Students travelling on the train network aged 16 or 17 can purchase a 16 – 17 Saver card for a 50% reduction in their train fares here:
Students aged 18 and over can purchase a young person’s railcard which entitles them to a 30% reduction in ticket prices here:
Please be sure to read all terms and restrictions to make sure a railcard is appropriate for your needs.
Travelling by car
Parking is free on all of our campuses, although spaces cannot be guaranteed.
The College has EV charging points available for use by staff and students, these spaces are for the charging of electric vehicles only and should not be used for parking.
Financial support
If you live more than 3 miles (walking distance) from college, the College bursaries can offer financial support to help students who could face financial difficulties with the cost of travelling to college.
