If you live more than 3 miles (walking distance) from your campus, bursaries can offer financial support to help students who could face financial difficulties with the cost of travelling to college.

Bus passes
Do you live in Wiltshire?
Wiltshire Council offers a bus pass to Wiltshire College & University Centre students who are studying at their nearest campus, are aged between 16-18, living in Wiltshire, and more than three miles from college. The bus pass allows you to make one journey to and from the College on days when it is open. If your household income is less than £20,819.00, the price for the 2025-26 bus pass is £330.00.

Do you live in Wiltshire but are not eligible for the lower rate Wiltshire Council transport pass?
If you do not qualify for the lower rate bus pass, the full price of £1000 is unlikely to be the most cost-effective option for your travel. Many of the bus companies offer discounted tickets for students or regular journeys. Follow the link to your campus below where you will find information about travel options.
Travelling to college by train?
Students travelling on the train network aged 16 or 17 can purchase a 16 – 17 Saver card for a 50% reduction on their train fares.
Students aged 18 and over can purchase a young person’s railcard which entitles them to a 30% reduction in ticket prices.
Please be sure to read all terms and restrictions to make sure a railcard is appropriate for your needs.
Travelling to college by car?
Parking is free on all of our campuses, but Spaces cannot be guaranteed.
The College has EV charging points available for use by staff and students. These spaces are for the charging of electric vehicles only and should not be used for parking.
