Safeguarding

We believe that all of our students have a right to protection from abuse and to the support they need to reach their full potential.
The College provides several support services including a dedicated safeguarding team, wellbeing advisors, counselling service, and equality and diversity. For further information on any of these services please email: safe@wiltshire.ac.uk.
If you have any concerns about yourself, your friends or other students in terms of safeguarding, radicalisation or exploitation report this to a member of staff or directly to the safeguarding team.

Wellbeing Officers At The College
Our team of Wellbeing Advisors are here to support any College student with any worries or problems, however large or small. They can support, guide, and help students to make the most of their time here at Wiltshire College & University Centre.
They never judge, are friendly and approachable and can offer signposting to a range of other services where appropriate.

Students can also access a critical helpline, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 364 days a year and secure free counselling sessions online through Wisdom.
Wisdom - Student Assistance Programme
Health Assured are one of the leading wellbeing providers in the UK, and they have created the Wisdom app to provide support while the College’s own support services are closed.
If you’re feeling down, stressed about finances, or are worried and simply need a chat, Wisdom counsellors can offer support around any problems you may be facing.

Out of Hours Support
The working hours for the safeguarding team is term time only, Monday – Thursday: 8:30 – 5pm and Friday: 8:30 – 4:30pm.
