Pathways

Our Pathways courses are designed to enable students of varying abilities to acquire meaningful qualifications and experience, helping them progress into further study or employment.

The curriculum is designed to develop learners’ independence, confidence, communication, and social skills in preparation for their next steps.

Taught in small groups by our supportive and experienced staff, these courses build independence in the classroom or simulated environments. The focus is on a holistic approach with learners at the centre of each programme.

More About Our Courses

Courses run from Entry Level to Level 1 and are for young people aged 16-18 who may benefit from a preparatory period and transition year to support their progression. These courses may be suitable for learners who face barriers to learning due to previous educational experiences.

Students on these courses will also develop personal and social skills, prepare for further education or training, and enhance your ability to make informed life choices, allowing you to succeed at a level that is right for you.

All learners also study English and maths and have access to staff who are experienced and specialist in working with young people with social, emotional and mental health difficulties, as well as moderate and/or specific learning difficulties.

Previous students have successfully progressed on to Level 1 courses of vocational subjects at the College.
