Our Criminology courses deliver a diverse programme covering why a person commits a crime, how punishment works, the application of law and a critical understanding of society and individuals.
This will equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to enter a career in the criminal justice sector – from policing to law and government.
On our Level 2 course, students at Chippenham can complete Criminology, Law and Psychology, and students at Salisbury and Trowbridge can choose between Criminology and Public Services, or Criminology, Psychology and Law.
The Level 3 course explores the criminal justice system, from the psychology of crime to the applications of law, power and punishment.
Our university-level HND in Crime and Criminal Justice will give you the opportunity to explore the purpose and framework of the criminal justice system and the public services that work within this area.
On all courses, you will be encouraged to develop your critical thinking and analytical skills, engage in trips, benefit from guest speakers and take part in work experience.
Previous students have successfully progressed on to further study at university in areas such as Criminology and Criminal Justice or directly entered the Police Service.
