ENROLMENT is the final step before you officially become a Wiltshire College & University Centre student – and we’re buzzing to welcome you!
By now, your enrolment appointment should be in your diary. This year, enrolment will take place on 21st, 22nd, 26th and 27th August. Whether you’re heading to Chippenham, Lackham, Salisbury or Trowbridge, here are 10 things you can expect on the day…
- A friendly hello: You’ll be greeted at the welcome desk when you arrive. Staff will be on hand to point you in the right direction and help with anything you need.
- Course confirmation: We’ll check your course details and confirm your place. Bring your exam results with you – a results slip, certificate, email from your school or even a screenshot from an online portal all count.
- English and Maths check-ins: If you’ve got exact grades or scores in English and Maths, bring them with you – it’ll help us place you in the right class if you need to continue studying these subjects.
- Industry placements and T-Levels: If your course includes work experience or a T Level placement, we’ll talk you through how it works and what happens next. You’ll also meet a member of the Work Placement Team as well.
- Supporting you along the way: If you need extra support with learning or exams, our Inclusion and Support Team will be available to chat with you – making sure the right help is in place before term starts.
- A shiny new student ID: Before you arrive, don’t forget to upload a passport-style photo for your student ID – you’ll be wearing it every day on campus. We’ll print your badge and give it to you on the day.
- Finance and travel support: We’ll help you apply for any financial support you’re eligible for, including travel passes or bursaries. Make sure you know your household income details if you’re applying on the day.
- A quick ID check: We’ll need to confirm your details, so bring a form of ID that shows your full name, date of birth and place of birth.
- The £25 resource fee: This annual fee helps cover resources and student services. You can pay by card at enrolment or online in advance through our College shop.
- The countdown to your first day: The Autumn term starts Monday 1 September, and your tutor will let you know your course’s exact start date during enrolment. You’ll get your timetable on your first day.
