If you study one of our Horticulture courses at Lackham, the outdoors will be your classroom.
Set in 500 acres of Wiltshire countryside, Lackham is a registered RHS teaching centre with an unparalleled range of industry-leading facilities for learning horticulture and landscape gardening.
With a qualification in this area, you could be designing and landscaping parks, gardens and sports grounds, or developing land for large businesses such as hotels and golf clubs.
Our facilities include a 200-year-old Walled Garden, modern glasshouses including a tropical hothouse, manicured lawns and gardens as well as sports pitches, ornamental walkways, woodlands and wetlands. Supported by our experienced lecturers, assessors and Gardens team, your learning will be hands-on, underpinned by detailed theoretical knowledge.
We offer horticultural courses for school leavers, industry professionals and amateur enthusiasts alike, with popular part-time RHS courses and apprenticeships running alongside our full-time study options.
Careers in this sector can allow you to work in the production, growing and selling of plants, produce new hybrid varieties and find out how best to care for and grow plants for a variety of uses.
Previous students have progressed on to successful roles in the industry, including at the National Trust, Professional Gardening Guild and Eden Project.
