Public Services students enjoy residential trip to London

Public Services students from Wiltshire College & University Centre’s Salisbury campus extended their learning beyond the classroom with a recent residential trip to London.

During the trip students visited the Houses of Parliament, Imperial War Museum and the Cenotaph, which was still adorned with poppy wreaths laid during Remembrance Sunday.

There was also the opportunity to do some sightseeing at historic spots across the city, including St James’s Palace, where King Charles III was formally proclaimed King by the Ascension Council last year.

The group also enjoyed a bit of downtime and took in some of the early Christmas atmosphere in the capital by exploring the famous M&M’s Store in Leicester Square.

The students all enjoyed their stay in London and went away positive from the rewarding visit, which also aided their learning modules in understand the influence of UK Government and international organisations, and understanding security procedures.
