More information

After this course you will:
Know the legislative and safety regulations relating to applicator use
Be able to assess the environmental factors relating to mixing and application
Be able to read and interpret product information
Be able to prepare and calibrate a hand held pedestrian applicator
Be able to operate the application equipment
Know how to carry out post-operational procedures
You must have completed and passed the Level 2 Principles of Safe Handling and Application of Pesticides (PA1).
Assessment will be a combination of observation of practical skills, and a questions and answers session to determine your level of knowledge and understanding of the module.

Assessment will be on a separate day at a designated time, dependent on assessor availability. We aim to carry out the assessment within one week of the training.
The cost of the course includes course materials and assessment fees. VAT is not applicable.

Please note that candidates will be required to supply a passport style photograph when enrolling, as this is required for registration with the awarding body.

The purpose of the NPTC assessment is to prove occupational competence; further charges apply if re-assessment is required.

Please note that candidates must have experience of driving a tractor.

The course is offered at our Lackham campus on 27/04/2026
