The purpose of the Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Cancer Support is to give learners knowledge to support their work within the adult health and social care sectors, particularly those wanting to specialise in the area or develop employment/progression opportunities. It may also be useful for those providing informal care to those living with cancer. Learners will gain knowledge and understanding by successfully completing the units required. This qualification is designed for learners who want to increase their knowledge and understanding of supporting adults living with cancer.

What will I learn?
This qualification aims to:
• focus on the study of cancer support in the health and social care sector
• offer breadth and depth of study, incorporating a key core of knowledge.
The objective of this qualification is to give learners knowledge of:

It is made up of four mandatory units as follows:
• Cancer awareness

Entry Requirements
Learners must be aged 19 years or over as at the start of the academic year (31st August).
Applicants who have not lived in the UK for at least 3 years or do not have British Citizenship will be required to provide evidence of their right to reside in the UK.

Study, Assessment and Qualifications
This course is delivered purely online with digital content. Upon enrolment Learners are sent login details for our e-assessor system where they will access all course materials including workbooks and questions. Learners will also submit all work via this system which will then be marked by an Assessor and feedback provided.
Due to the nature of these Distance Learning courses, the emphasis is very much on self-directed study.
Learners should be able to take all the information needed to complete the course from the Workbooks but will also receive high level support from their Assessor and the Distance Learning Team.
Each unit will have a set deadline so Learners can plan their study time to fit in with these dates.

Additional Costs and Information
This course is free however, we do have a £130 withdrawal fee if learners do not commence/complete their course within the allotted time/request to withdraw.
Learners can only complete one Distance Learning course at a time and cannot be on another funded course such as an Apprenticeship.
