Travelling by Bus

If you are aged 16-19 (under 19), live in Wiltshire and Chippenham is your nearest Wiltshire College & University Centre campus, you may be eligible for a Wiltshire Council bus pass. If your household income is less than £20,819, the price for the 2023-24 bus pass is £300.

If do not qualify for the lower rate bus pass, the full price of £900 is unlikely to be the most cost-effective option for your travel. Many of the bus companies offer discounted tickets for students or regular journeys. Please check prices with the transport provider.

Monthly pass available £67 on the bus and £60 via mobile ticketing on smartphone. Can be used on any Faresaver bus any any time.

The Wiltshire Council bus pass is not available for this route

Travelling by Train

Chippenham station is almost directly opposite our Chippenham campus4.

Students travelling on the train network and aged 16 or 17 can purchase a 16 – 17 Saver card for a 50% reduction in their train fares here.

Students aged 18 and over can purchase a young person’s railcard which entitles them to a 30% reduction in ticket prices: click here.

Please be sure to read all terms and restrictions to make sure a railcard is appropriate for your needs.

Travelling by Car

Parking is free on all of our campuses. You must register your car and get a Parking Permit.

Financial Support

The College bursaries can offer financial support to help with the cost of travelling to college. If you live more than 3 miles (walking distance) from College and your household income is less than £35,000, you should apply.
