Course Overview

This course is perfect for learners who have already completed the French Beginners course or have a grounding in basic French and would like to progress and further develop their confidence, skills and knowledge. Come and join this friendly class for an opportunity to consolidate your previous knowledge of French. The course will focus on speaking and listening although there will be reading and some writing activities.

More information

On completion you should be able to give descriptive accounts of past, present and future events. The following topics will be covered in this course: Eating at restaurants; Using public transport; Booking accommodation; Describing a place/town; Talking about the weather; Talking about what you did on holiday; Health; Shopping and fashion.
You should have completed the French Beginners course at the College or similar establishment, or have a basic understanding of the French language through your own experience or previous study, and want to gain confidence in using your language skills
Assessment is informal, based on your personal targets and the learning outcomes and will be undertaken regularly with you by the course lecturer.

It is recommended that a little homework each week will help you to progress with your language learning.
You will be asked to purchase a course book; this will be discussed during your first session.

You should bring with you writing materials to make notes.

This course runs on one day per week at the Chippenham Campus and the dates are:
17.09.24-26.11.24 Tuesday 19:30-21:00
