What to expect at your open event

What to expect at your open event

Our open events are the best way to experience life at Wiltshire College & University Centre. Whether you’re exploring courses for the first time or making final decisions about your next step, these events are designed to give you the information, confidence and inspiration you need.

Here’s what you can look forward to when you join us:

A warm welcome

Start your visit with a welcome presentation from our Senior Leadership Team. This is a great introduction to the College, our values and the opportunities available to you. Presentations run at set times during each event, so check the campus map when you arrive.

Meet our lecturers and see our facilities

Then it’s time to explore – our teaching staff will be on hand in their subject areas to answer your questions and show the facilities, workshops and studios you’ll be learning in. It’s your chance to see the equipment and spaces that support hands-on, career-focused learning.

Support beyond the classroom

We know that college life is more about your qualification but also the support in place to help you develop and get you to where you want to be. During the event you can meet teams who can guide you on:

  • Work placements and T Levels
  • Careers advice
  • Learning and inclusion support
  • English and maths
  • Transport, fees and bursaries

Apply on the day

If you already know the course you’d like to apply for, you can head to our Admissions Hub when you arrive. Our friendly team can guide you through the application process and even book your course interview while you’re here.

Ask questions any time

Not ready to apply yet? That’s fine too. You’ll have the chance to ask questions throughout the event – and if anything comes to mind afterwards, you can always get in touch with us by phone, email or our website.
