Criminology

Are you interested in the way our laws are made, where power comes from in our political system and how effective the criminal justice system is?

Our Criminology courses deliver a diverse programme covering why a person commits a crime, how punishment works, the application of law and a critical understanding of society and individuals.

This will equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to enter a career in the criminal justice sector – from policing to law and government.

On all courses, you will be encouraged to develop your critical thinking and analytical skills, engage in trips, benefit from guest speakers and take part in work experience.

Previous students have successfully progressed on to further study at university in areas such as Criminology and Criminal Justice or directly entered the Police Service.
