Life at WCUC

Student Life at Wiltshire College And University Centre
Wiltshire College and University Centre (WCUC) is dedicated to ensuring our higher education students have a positive college experience and recognises that there may be times when support and assistance are needed for academic or personal issues.
Wellbeing
Your wellbeing as a higher education student is important to us at WCUC. Feeling comfortable and happy and being healthy and safe help you have a positive college experience. We do understand that you may not always feel this way, and if something does go wrong, we are here to support you. Higher education students have access to all our wellbeing services, including counselling and our student assistance programme.
Personal Social Development
Students have access to three dedicated tutorials throughout the year to discuss career, professional and personal development. Your Programme Leads can signpost you to the correct team or you can find more information on the student higher education Common room area.
Careers
Higher education Students have access to information about future study options and labour market trends for progression. The college provides tailored advice and support in dedicated 1:1 appointments. The careers team can give information on upcoming progression events such as careers and apprenticeship fairs, university events for top-up programmes. Visit our Careers page for more information.
Work Experience and Industry Placements
We support faculties and areas of learning by advising students on work experience processes. Although students are responsible for sourcing their own placements on higher education courses, our programme leaders can offer guidance on the types of organisations to approach and how to get the best from your placement / work experience.
Equality, Diversity & Inclusion
Equality and Diversity are at the heart of everything we do at the College. We strive to create an environment where everyone can be themselves without fear of discrimination or harassment, and where they are supported to achieve their fullest potential. This commitment extends not only to our staff and students but also to anyone who interacts with the College. For more information, please download our Equality and Diversity policy below.
