Health & Social Care alumni return to inspire current students

Five Wiltshire College & University Centre Health & Social Care alumni returned to the Trowbridge campus recently to share their education and industry experience with current students, 40 years after their own studies.

Jill Smart, Tina Milburn, Sally Iles, Emma Holland and Heather Crozier studied at what was Trowbridge College in the 1980s. The group are still friends today who regularly stay in touch.

As part of their visit, the group toured the campus to view the range of new facilities and see how much the site had changed since they left.

They also spoke to current students from a range of health-related courses, including those on the T Level Health: Adult Nursing programme, the Level 2 Health & Social Care course and the Higher National Certificate in Early Childhood Education and Care.

Passing on their advice to the current cohort, the former students emphasised the importance of the college in their career journeys.

Thank you to Jill, Tina, Sally, Emma and Heather for taking time to visit us and inspiring our current students.

Health & Social Care courses are offered at WCUC’s Chippenham, Salisbury and Trowbridge campuses. To find out more or to apply, click here.
