A role in the uniformed public services sector offers a wide variety of career options. Taught by experts, our Public Services courses provide you with the skills and knowledge to develop a career in one of these fields, including the armed forces, fire and ambulance services and the police.
You will develop practical and theory skills for leadership, discipline and navigation, and take part in a variety of physical activities, all while preparing for the physical assessment necessary to enter the uniformed services.
From understanding how military units prepare for tours across the world to examining evidence in a court of law, our courses give you a real insight into your future career. You will learn to expect the unexpected and prepare for the challenges of a career in the uniformed services.
Planning and participating in an expedition and working as a team are key components of our courses, and you will also study the social and political contexts of the work in this sector.
By taking part in a variety of outdoor activities and exciting trips, you will build your understanding of the real work of the public services.
Previous students have gone on to roles in the emergency services and Armed Forces and further study at university in areas such as Rescue and Emergency Management and Criminal Justice.
