Whether you’re a performer or you love the technical side of music production, our music courses will help you develop the skills, knowledge and techniques to go far in this competitive industry and develop as an artist. Our courses are designed for more than just traditional musicians: sound engineers, DJs, rappers, electronic music producers, game audio producers and event organisers are all welcome. This Level 2 qualification is a Diploma in Music production and Performance. It is a one-year, full-time course, suited for people aged 16-18 and mature students wishing to gain vocational experience or progress onto a Level 3 music course. You’ll take part in collaborative and individual project work, taking on typical industry roles and completing a work experience portfolio with employers as part of your study programme.

Additional Costs and Information
You will need to pay your £25 non-refundable Resource Fee before coming to enrol. This can be done on the online shop Wiltshire College Online Shop You will need to bring a copy of your receipt to enrolment as proof of purchase. If you cannot pay online please pay by card on enrolment day.
Studio Fee
There is an annual fee for studio and performance resources on the music courses. The cost is £100 for Level 2 learners.
This helps to ensure the availability of the latest equipment and provision for all learners.

Stationery
All students are required to provide their own personal stationery to include pads, pens and pencils, poly pockets and folders ready for the start of term. Course lecturers will advise of any specific requirements at the start of term.
Equipment
You may find it helpful to purchase an external hard drive to store your own work.
Although the college can provide professional standard headphones in some cases, personal headphones are also an advantage for music production and performance activities.
We recommend that if your place is conditional in achieving exam results that you do not purchase items until your place is confirmed.
Books
Your course will advise of any textbooks that are recommended at the start of term. The college has a fully stocked Learning Resource Centre.
Trips
All students have the opportunity to attend trips during the year. You will be advised of these by your course lecturer and they can be paid for through the college shop on Wiltshire College Online Shop.
