The core content focuses on knowledge and understanding of business contexts and environments, data and storage, digital analysis and computational thinking, and digital environments, including hardware and software solutions, networks, and virtual infrastructure. You will gain the knowledge and skills to successfully plan, implement, and test infrastructure projects which will support you in completion of the course assessments.

The cyber security occupational specialism covers the application of procedures and controls to maintain the digital security of an organisation and its data and perform security risk assessments. You will learn through classroom and practical lab-based activity to identify and categorise threats, vulnerabilities and risks, how to escalate information about security incidents/events whilst preserving evidence, evaluating results of vulnerability assessments, and providing recommendations based upon the evidence provided. The course content is reinforced by application in the workplace, ensuring learning is made relevant to the business context.
