Are you interested in learning about printmaking? Would you like to develop your printmaking skills using a range of fascinating techniques? Would you like to take your ideas in a new direction or just welcome an opportunity to create multiple images? If so, this course will meet your needs. You will be introduced to a range of basic printmaking techniques including linocut, collagraph, letterpress, monoprinting, intaglio – drypoint etching, stencil screenprinting, blind embossing. This course will teach you how to print onto surfaces such as fabric, paper, card or other prepared surfaces.

What will I learn?
The aim of the course is to introduce beginners to basic printmaking techniques and to develop the techniques of those with previous experience. On completion, you should be able to demonstrate ability in working with a range of printmaking techniques an understanding of the correct use of printmaking equipment and the safe use of them and display a range of finished work.

Study, Assessment and Qualifications
Assessment is informal, based on your personal targets and the learning outcomes and will be undertaken regularly with you by the course tutor.
Additional Costs and Information
You should wear old clothes for this course as it can get messy! Specialist materials can be purchased through the lecturer at a separate charge, subject to availability.
This course will take place one evening per week at the Salisbury campus:
