Course Overview

This 6-week (one study day per week), face-to-face course is designed to enable learners to further develop the knowledge and understanding required to work with customers within the health and social care sector.

This qualification is designed for learners who want to develop an understanding of how to deliver effective customer service in health and social care settings.

Suitable for those interested in pursuing careers in the following areas:

• Health and social care
• Community
• Social work

The objectives of this qualification are to help learners to:

• develop an awareness of customer service in health and social care
• understand how to communicate effectively in a health and social care setting
• understand the needs of customers who access health and social care services
• understand teamwork in health and social care settings.
There are no specific recommended prior learning requirements for this qualification. However, learners may find it helpful if they’ve already achieved a level 1 qualification.
To achieve the Level 2 Certificate in Customer Service for Health and Social Care Settings, learners must successfully demonstrate their achievement of all learning outcomes of the units.

The Level 2 Certificate in Customer Service for Health and Social Care Settings is internally assessed.
