Course Overview

Develop your creative and professional photography skills with this A-Level equivalent qualification, run at our Trowbridge and Salisbury campuses. You’ll have access to well-equipped darkroom facilities and specialist traditional and digital photography equipment to develop your skills and processes. The course will develop your skills as a creative practitioner. You should be curious about the world and have a reflective, creative approach to your work. You’ll learn by constantly trying out new ideas and solutions, create independent work and develop a deep knowledge and confidence in your chosen subject area. This course is one of the specialist pathways on our Level 3 course in Art, Design and Communication: Creative Practice. After the course, you’ll be in a position to apply for a photography degree or to enter the creative industries in a junior role.

You’ll be taught by experienced and dedicated lecturers who are creative practitioners themselves with relevant professional experience, and you’ll be supported by technicians working in industry standard studios and workshops.
