Mastering Manual Controls: Take total creative control over your digital camera or advanced smartphone settings. Demystify the exposure triangle—shutter speed, aperture, and ISO—to intentionally manipulate motion, depth of field, and image clarity in any lighting condition.
Composition & Framing: Discover foundational and advanced techniques, such as the rule of thirds, leading lines, and balancing negative space, to naturally draw the viewer’s eye into your frame.
Understanding Light: Learn how to read natural and artificial light sources, harness golden hour lighting, and utilize exposure compensation to elevate every shot.
Digital Editing with open source software: Bring your imagery to life in post-production. Take your raw or high-resolution files into open source software to develop your images further, learning non-destructive retouching, colour grading, contrast balancing, and sharpening techniques. You will be able to download the free software at home.
Practical Application: Build real-world skills through hands-on practice, technical walkthroughs, and expert guidance from capture to final export.
