Course Overview

Delivered at our Business School in Lackham, this course is designed to build your knowledge, skills, and understanding in sustainable business management. You’ll develop the expertise to promote high-performance and sustainable business practices, support corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategies, and drive social and environmental change.

The up-to-date content is closely aligned with occupational standard Level 4 Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Practitioner, professional body and employer needs, and the knowledge, skills and behaviours required for employment in roles including responsibility business officer, environmental, social and governance officer and corporate responsibility officer.

We work in close collaboration with local employers to provide real-world learning opportunities, including live projects, professional briefs, and guest speakers from organisations such as Wiltshire Police and the Local Skills Improvement Partnership.

Alternative Entry Routes

Applicants aged 21+ without standard academic qualifications may be considered based on relevant vocational experience and transferable skills. Each application is assessed individually. In some cases, applicants may be asked to attend an interview or complete a written assessment.
The HNC is a Level 4 qualification, equivalent to the first year of a university degree. It is also recognised as a Higher Technical Qualification (HTQ), aligned with employer-developed occupational standards—making it ideal for those seeking a direct route into industry. A second year of study at Level 5 will top up this qualification to HND.
Some trips or external visits may involve additional costs. These will be clearly communicated in advance where applicable.
