Course Overview

Our courses are now closed to new entrants for this academic year.  Please do return later in the summer for details of our September 2025 to June 2026 courses and to apply for these, thank you.

Once you have applied, we will send through a Skills Check to gauge your ability and determine a suitable course for you. Once returned to us, we will be in touch to arrange an interview, either face to face or over the phone if this is not possible. Depending on the time of year, it may take up to two weeks to hear back from us, so please do not worry if you do not hear back immediately. We will discuss the campus, day and time of the sessions and the options available to you.

More information

When you sign up to study GCSE Maths, we will help you develop your core skills and knowledge in number calculations, algebra, measurement, shape, space, trigonometry and handling data.

We offer the 9 – 1 GCSE Maths through the Pearson (Edexcel) Examining Board.
As part of the interview process, all applicants will complete a skills check to gauge their current skills and ability.

Using the results from this and through discussion with you, we will be able to advise you about the course and qualification that is most suitable for you.
You will be expected to attend the taught sessions regularly and be encouraged to develop your maths skills through group activities, paired activities and individual working.

There is a range of e-learning facilities to support your development and there will be an expectation for you to complete work outside the classroom.

Class assessments will be held on a regular basis and these will be designed to develop your skills and fully prepare you for the GCSE final exams.

The grade you receive at the end of your GCSE Maths course is entirely based on your performance in three exam papers. One is non calculator and the others are calculator papers.

2025 exam dates:
Thursday 15th May 2025
Wednesday 4th June 2025
Wednesday 11th June 2025
All of these courses are free of charge for applicants who do not have a Grade C or Grade 4 or above at GCSE. If you are not eligible, the course fee is £864.

You will be required to provide your own maths equipment which should include a scientific calculation (ideally a Casio FX83 or FX85), paper, pens and a maths set.
