WILTSHIRE College & University Centre is helping to train the conservationists of the future with applications now open for its Higher Education course in animal and countryside management starting in 2027.
Delivered at the College’s Lackham campus, the course has a strong focus on conservation, sustainability and environmental stewardship with a particular focus on British wildlife.
Students benefit from access to the College’s extensive rural estate, providing opportunities to study the wider challenges facing the natural environment.

Why study Animal and Countryside Management with us?
The programme draws on more than 20 years of environmental data collected across the Lackham estate, giving students valuable insight into changing animal and plant populations and the impact of climate change on local ecosystems.
A substantial work experience placement in the local conservation sector also ground students’ theoretical studies as they apply their learning in a practical context.
Designed in collaboration with employers and industry partners, the course prepares students for careers in conservation, wildlife management, countryside services and environmental consultancy.
