You Said, We Did – campus improvements

Say more, we’re listening!

As the academic year draws to a close, we’re looking back on the improvements made across campus at your request.

The result? We’re pretty pleased to say a lot has changed.

Lackham

You said: The main drive has too many potholes.

We did: Resurfaced the main drive.

You said: We need more bus timetables outdoors.

We did: Found suitable spaces and put them up.

You said: Sanitary products were not in every toilet.

We did: Students are now aware where to access free sanitary products and cross site access is being improved.

You said: We want access to notice boards to promote events and course news.

We did: Students are allowed to use site boards as long as content is kept current.

You said: Some PSD topics were seen as negative and lacking multi-cultural content.

We did: Gave feedback to the relevant staff who plan PSD sessions and changes have been made.

Salisbury

You said: Cups are needed at water dispensers for those without bottles.

We did: Disposable cups are now available from reception and all dispensers are labelled to reflect this.

You said: Where can students study during the day if they arrive early at college?

We did: The LRC can be used from 8am onwards, prior to staffing at 8:30am. Students are welcome to study throughout the day.

You said: Could we have a shuttle bus to the station?

We did: The estates team are looking into this for you!

You said: More sport please!

We did: Within the limitations of a city centre campus, we are looking into providing badminton, pool and table tennis.

You said: Improve hygiene in the male toilets.

We did: Toilets are cleaned before 8am, checked again at 10am and at 1pm.

Trowbridge

You said: Disabled bays are getting used wrong.

We did: Security are checking the bays regularly and eight more bays are coming.

You said: What is there for students who get thirsty during the college day?

We did: We have 11 water coolers already and we’re looking into four more.

You said: The food is too expensive.

We did: We’re meeting with the catering provider to talk costs!

You said: The toilets aren’t it.

We did: Cleaning team is keeping a closer eye!

Chippenham

You said: Bring on the table tennis!

We did: Students are able to request bats and balls to play table tennis outside learning hours.

You said: More arts and crafts activities.

We did: We now offer clay activities, colouring and doodle art during events and individual sessions.

You said: Football on the pitch.

We did: Four footballs now available in the PSD office for students to borrow and return.

You said: We want your help fundraising.

We did: Students who are keen to raise money for a specific charity are supported in hosting stalls and activities for this purpose.
