Equine students get hands-on experience at famous Badminton Horse Trials

Equine students based at Wiltshire College & University Centre’s Lackham campus had the amazing opportunity of working at the prestigious Badminton Horse Trials recently.

Led by Lecturer in Equine Ria McLean, the group were part of the arena party at the world-renowned three-day event in Gloucestershire, working alongside the competition’s esteemed showjumping course designers.

The experience provided students with invaluable hands-on knowledge and insight into the workings of a world-class equestrian event and is a testament to the college’s commitment to providing students with real-world experiences that prepare them for successful careers.

Nikki Knights, Head of Faculty – Land based Studies at WCUC, said: “We are incredibly proud of our students and staff and the opportunities they have been given to work at Badminton Horse Trials. The collaboration between the college and an important industry event is extremely valuable to our students.”
