Lily Raynor-Blundell

Crime and Criminal Justice Programme Lead

Lily is an experienced lecturer in Criminology with a demonstrated history of working in the education management industry. She has been the Programme Lead in the HND Crime and Criminal Justice course since 2016.

Lily joined the College in 2015, initially working as a lecturer before taking on her current role as Deputy Head of Department in Public Services and Criminology in 2019. Lily is also a Staff Governor at the College.

She is skilled in research, psychology, criminology, teaching, and Higher Education and amongst Lily’s career achievements is designing and leading a university-level course, while also working with adult learners who were aiming to enter Higher Education.

She graduated from the University of the West of England with a BA (Hons) in Criminology, and subsequently studied for a Masters degree in Criminology and Criminal Psychology at Portsmouth University alongside her teaching.

Lily’s research has been into relationships and sex education, and the understanding of sexual consent in young adults. She is currently a PhD student at UWE, studying barriers to understanding consent in young people.

Alongside teaching, Lily is a qualified lowland leader and enjoys climbing mountains and exploring the wilderness. She is a mother with a child at secondary school.
