Meet Paul, Deputy Head of Department for Health and Life Sciences and programme lead for our Foundation Degree in Health and Nutrition and HND Sport
I graduated from Liverpool University with a Masters degree in Exercise and Nutrition Science, and have been teaching to FE and HE students for over 14 years.
I introduced and developed the HND Sport programme across 2 campuses at the College and continue to lead this programme of study alongisde my other teaching. I also designed an innovative HE programme in Sports Event Management which has subsequently been delivered at the University of Bath.
In my new cross-curricular role, I also manage the Access to HE provision.
Prior to entering teaching, I worked in the leisure industry as a centre manager and was involved with new building projects in North Yorkshire and Wiltshire, establishing the working procedures in both these leisure facilities.
I was also the Chairman of North Wiltshire Leisure Limited, a company established to run the areas 6 leisure centres in 1998.
In my spare time, I continue in the sporting vein by coaching junior rugby at his local club.
